Terms of Service

By using FazeSwap, you agree to these rules. They protect you, us, and other people on the platform. Please read them in full before you create an account.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding contract between you and FazeSwap(the “Service”). By creating an account, downloading our app, or using any part of FazeSwap, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, please don't use the Service.

2. The service

FazeSwap is a suite of AI-powered video tools available through:

  • The web application at fazeswap.com.
  • The mobile apps for iPhone (iOS) and Android.
  • The desktop apps for Windows and macOS.

The Service includes:

  • Face Swap — replace a face in a video with a face you choose.
  • Talking Avatar — turn a photo into a video where the person speaks your script.
  • Lip Sync — make a person in a video speak in a different voice or language.
  • Live Face Swap (Desktop only) — wear another face in real time during video calls and live streams.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU and UK) to create an account.
  • The information you provide must be accurate. Don't use a fake name or email.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens on your account.
  • One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to get around limits.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or pose a risk to other users.

4. Plans, credits & billing

Subscription plans

We offer three plans: Free, Standard, and Pro. Each paid plan can be billed monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annually. Prices, limits, and features are on the pricing page. We can change plan terms at any time; we'll notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before any change that affects them.

Credits

You can buy credit packs to use AI features when you exhaust your monthly plan quota — or instead of subscribing at all. Credits are used in this order: monthly plan quota first, wallet credits second. Credits expire 12 months after purchase.

Billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your Billing page; you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
  • Payments are processed by our partners (Paystack, Flutterwave, Korapay, Cryptomus, NOWPayments, Circle, Apple, Google) under their own terms.
  • Refunds: subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law (e.g. EU 14-day cooling off if you have not consumed any of the included quota). Credit packs are non-refundable once any credits have been used.
  • If a payment fails, we put your subscription into a 7-day grace period. If we still can't charge you after that, the subscription is suspended.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use FazeSwap to:

  • Create content that depicts a real person without their consent — including, but not limited to, deepfakes used to harass, defraud, impersonate, or sexually exploit anyone.
  • Generate sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance. Accounts that attempt this are terminated immediately and reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Generate content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against a person or group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
  • Spread disinformation about public figures, elections, or matters of public health or safety.
  • Bypass, disable, or interfere with our security, rate limits, or abuse-detection systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Service.
  • Resell access to the Service without our written permission.

We use automated and manual review to detect violations. We may remove content, suspend accounts, and report to law enforcement without prior notice when appropriate.

6. Your content

Anything you upload (photos, videos, scripts, audio) and anything we generate from your input (face-swapped videos, talking avatars, lip-sync outputs) is your Content. You keep ownership of your Content.

By uploading Content, you confirm that:

  • You either own it, or you have permission from the rights holder to use it on FazeSwap.
  • Where the Content depicts a real person, you have that person's consent to swap their face / generate them speaking.
  • The Content does not break any law or these Terms.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your Content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you (storing it, passing it to our AI partners for the duration of your job, returning the result, letting you download or share it). We do not use your Content for training, advertising, or any other purpose.

7. Intellectual property

FazeSwap, our logo, brand, code, and the design of the Service are owned by FazeSwap and protected by copyright and trademark law. The AI models we use are licensed from third parties under their own terms (we list those processors in our Privacy Policy).

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service. The licence ends when your account ends.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. All your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where law requires us to retain it (e.g. payment records).

We can suspend or terminate your account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, illegal activity, fraud, or threats to other users. We'll notify you by email when we do, unless we're legally prohibited from doing so.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but we don't guarantee:

  • That every face swap or AI generation will look exactly the way you want — AI is probabilistic and results vary.
  • That the Service will be available 100% of the time. Maintenance, third-party outages, and unexpected events do happen.
  • That every output will be free of artefacts, glitches, or imperfections.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FazeSwap and its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have paid nothing, our total liability is capped at USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FazeSwap from any claim, demand, loss, or damages arising from (a) your Content, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally must be brought in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country require otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will email registered users and post a notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms.
